indo adventure - day 14: back to bali
Today was a travel day. A slightly hairy 2.5-hour drive to the airport -- the roads were congested with mopeds, motorcycles, trucks, buses, cars, horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, chickens and dogs. It seemed as though Sunday morning was the morning to burn your trash, so the air felt choked. Then an hour's flight back to Bali — with extraordinary views of the reefs from above, which felt like a fitting goodbye after a week spent learning to read what's beneath the waves.
I'm in Seminyak tonight, about 25 minutes from the airport. Tomorrow night I fly home. I am excited to get home.
