indo adventure - day 1: new journal. new adventure.

I started a new journal today. I was nearing the end of my current/previous one and while I do quite enjoy writing on that final page, upon wise advisement from my mother, I brought a fresh journal to ensure I had plenty of writing room and wouldn't have to juggle multiple journals. Only unwritten pages. It's quite thrilling - how will these pages be filled? What stories will they hold? I suppose this blog is more or less the digital equivalent. Ah but the smell of paper, the scratch of a perfect 0.4 archival ink pen, the indecipherable appearance of one's own handwriting -- there's nothing quite like it.

First up on this adventure was snuggly, cold-nosed fare-thee-well to these 2 handsome devils:

Then a zippy commute captained by my mum to the bus terminal. Then on to the airport. And now for the first flight: to Tokyo, where the departure time here on the East coast was already tomorrow in Tokyo (some mind-bending time travel is involved here).

I have an extended layover in Tokyo, and should all flights remain on schedule, an evening out in Tokyo is in my future. It will involve a train, delicious food, an onsen (a Japanese hot spring), and a short snooze.
